The Compulsory English courses intend to familiarize students with excellent pieces of prose and poetry in English to enrich their overall linguistic competence. They judiciously blend language and literature components.The specialization courses focus phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, discourse analysis and pragmatics along with basic ideas relating to study of literature and criticism. The courses are a means of empowering as a number of jobs are available to those who are proficient in English. English language works as a currency in the job markets.
